From Our Principal

From Principal Lorna Davis

LDavis-AdminIt is hard to believe the summer is over and school has begun!  So many exciting things have happened the past few months at Kingwood Christian School:

-Nicholas Bowman, one of our 2010 Graduates, won the National Beta Club Science Award.

-Angie Edwards and Dr. Beth Thomas were notified that, on behalf of Kingwood Christian School, they have been accepted to present at the National Science Teachers Association regional meeting in Nashville , December 2-4.

-KCS cheerleaders returned from camp recently and both squads received red “Excellent Ribbons” the first two nights and on the last day they received blue “Outstanding” ribbons (blue is one step above red) for their cheer routine and their dance routine.  The J.V. squad won a trophy for being the “Most improved” squad at camp and the Varsity squad won a trophy for being a “Superior Squad”.  Congratulations to our cheerleaders!

As you can see, KCS is comprised of gifted, talented students and faculty!  I look forward to the new school year and believe there are many exciting things in store for us now and in the future.  I am truly honored and blessed to serve as principal this year and ask that you keep me as well as all of KCS  in your thoughts and prayers as we begin this journey together.

I sincerely believe in and will work diligently to see that KCS continues to progress toward academic excellence and character.  I desire to see our students mature and develop into godly, educated, and wise young men and women prepared to face the future with confidence.  At KCS we will provide each student the opportunity to achieve their goals and reach their potential.

God has His plan and has placed all of us together "for such a time as this", and His timing is perfect!
